Photo taken from the the opening of Transquadra at Saint- Nazaire. Trans Quadra starts in the French Saint-Nazaire and the finish is located in Port du Marin on the island of Martinique. It’s a 4000 nm Transat race for solo and dual handed non-professional sailors, at least 40 years old.
Objective- To prepare a needs assessment and review for the semester exam.
1. Open Edmodo and be sure you can log in. You will complete a quiz at the end of the period.
2. Open a Word document so that you can complete the "I Can" statements. You will need to turn this in to Edmodo so that you will receive credit.
3. The next few days will be very work intensive. Social discussions and any other off task behavior will not be tolerated. Visiting unauthorized websites will result in a loss of 50 points for each offense. Skyward is authorized only at the last five minutes of class.
Your time for editing your project has passed. You must now work on the review for the exam. You may check your Skyward at home on your own time. Do not open Skyward in the lab. Our time is very limited!
Semester exam review outline
There will be 75-80 questions on the test. You will need to review the vocabulary and grammar structures from Units 4-6
Listening: You will need to:
- Understand prices of various clothing items (you’ll need to know numbers from 1-100)
- Understand the relationships of the members of a family using a family tree
- Understand the physical description of friends at a party
- Understand a conversation at a store and determine whether the salesperson or the customer is speaking
- Understand a conversation at a store and determine whether the people like or dislike certain items
Reading: You will need to:
- Understand directions on a map
- Understand the descriptions of pen pals and select the best match for a pen pal
- Understand the descriptions of ads of various stores and determine what one would purchase at each store
- Understand an ad for a sale at a clothing store and determine what items were purchased
- Understand the descriptions of clothing items and match the written description of items in a suitcase with pictures of various clothing and accessories
- Understand a poll on fashion and determine what kinds of clothing the students like
- Understand where items are located by looking at a picture and tell where the items are using sur, sous, devant, derrière, dans, and entre
Structure of language
- Understand what one would say in certain situations such as asking if items work, telling where things are, telling where someone is, telling where someone would go if they were hungry, thirsty, playing a sport, going swimming, etc
