Bonjour! Je m'appelle Madame Henderson. This is my 24th year of teaching and each day I find more exciting new things to learn and teach. I love teaching.
I graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a double major in French and English. I have taught English, Reading, and French and enjoyed them all, but French is my passion. I have a Masters of Liberal Arts from HBU and I use the knowledge I gained there to connect French with art, music, history, science, technology, and other areas to create an engaging learning environment for my students.
I love travelling to Francophone countries and have been able to visit Québec, France, and Belgium. I am also a contributing educator to the Carole D. Fredericks Foundation and have presented with Connie Fredericks-Malone in both Baton Rouge, LA and Liège, Belgium for the American Association of Teachers of French conference. A copy of the Liège conference presentation is available for download at the Carole D. Fredericks Foundation website.
I love the French language and Francophone culture. Je suis francophile!
