French Club

Goal: To provide a constant enrichment if the French language and the Francophone world.

Meetings: TBA

Membership: Students will pay dues of $10 per year and attend meetings regularly. Students do not need to be enrolled in French to be members of the French Club.

Société Honoraire de Français: National French Honor Society

Le Société Honoraire de Français provides an opportunity to recognize outstanding scholarship in the study of French language through selection for membership, the placement of a special seal on the graduate's diploma, the wearing of an honor cord at graduation, and the right to wear the official emblem/pin of the honor society.

Second, the chapter provides a vehicle for focusing activities around French language and literature and also for encouraging member participation in the annual writing contest as well as application for the annual travel grants.

*To graduate with the honor cord, the student MUST be an active member of the French club. Cords will be ordered in March and the cost is $11 (based on this year’s prices)

Membership Requirements:

Ten hours of community service each year.

Need to complete three semesters of French.

Have an "A" average in the third semester of French.

Have an "B" average (academic) in other courses
